I like to read a book that relates to them, and then have them do the sheet. When they are all finished, I use it as a visual prompt to get them talking.
Last week we read "Non, David!" by David Shannon, and then did the sheet "Voici comment je fais un bon choix". Then I put them into groups to share their work with each other. They LOVE the David books, no matter how many times we read them!
We are doing student-led conferences for our report card meetings this year, so I am going to use this sheet as a prompt to get them thinking about their goals:
Do you do student-led conferences at your school? What types of things do you have your students share?
